The L family and I are new friends, and this is the first time I am seeing them in front of my camera. Hopefully not the last! What a blast we had chasing their kids around the park and capturing these images. They were looking for Bird Park family photography and we certainly took advantage of the park!
This first image is my favorite. It wasn’t raining, but their daughter bought the umbrella and carried it from the car. You know how kids attach to odd items and don’t let them go for a while? This was hers for the day. To me, it speaks childhood and I loved it and wanted it in one of the photos. Having it in the image where little brother is being raised up high was the perfect one! Families who trust me enough to follow the vision – however wacky – are often rewarded with images a little out of the ordinary. This one is a keeper!
We were also aiming to get a few more traditional poses, which we did do of course. The family chose grays, navy, denim, and cream for their outfits and they all look great! It was a little warm and muggy that day for sweaters, but hey – in New England you have to take what nature gives you!
Next we headed over to the field of tall grass. Popping the little guy on dad’s shoulders was necessary to even see him the grass is so tall! Their daughter loved playing in it. And laughing! We have a whole series of the image on the right!
Big sis and little bro had some unscripted fun! This tackle was supposed to be a pose with the two of them. I like their idea better though!
Close-up images were next! Always an important part of a family session. Capture those little features while they are still little! The daughter has a whole bunch, but I blogged this one because it made me laugh! Finally, we walked out of the park with these two holding hands. These two certainly are entertaining! I can’t wait to see them in front of my camera again soon! If you are looking for unique, fun Bird Park family photography then let’s connect!
