Baby Oliver joined mom, dad, and big brother Will in early January. They called their favorite Boston family photographer to capture the moment! I photographed this couple’s engagement, wedding, and little Will when he was born. It’s a pretty incredible thing to be able to see clients through all of those milestones. Looking forward to the session where little Will and Oliver are tumbling around like big brothers do!
I got to meet little Oliver and Will at their home, in a session where Oliver was just sleepy enough to let big brother hold him for a few moments. I love the look on little Will’s face! The family series also melts me a little; simple and snuggly family perfection!
Home sessions can sometimes be tricky because you are working with light and backgrounds that are new and may or may not easily be made into a good background photographically. This home was wonderful and warm, and the grey char against this simple wall and window light was just perfect. Starting off with lovely rim light on the boys, I then added just a little of my own as a fill.
This baby is actually smiling as big brother kisses him. So, so sweet!
A portrait with a toddler and infant is arguable the most difficult to achieve. After getting a few great portraits of the boys together, mom and dad joined in. The resulting series of images reflects just how sweet this family is!When mom and Oliver took a little break, Will and dad played for a bit. It’s images like this that seem so simple at the time and then make you feel all the feels later!
Finally, little Oliver closed his eyes. But only for a moment! A great home newborn session no matter what!
