Baby John’s arrival was much anticipated at the end of 2014. In the end this little guy decided he wanted a birthday in 2015! His parents were looking for a North Attleboro newborn photographer, and I had recently met her through a local mother’s group.
Little John was so very worth the wait, what a cutie he is! Not particularly sleepy, but he makes up for it in facial expressions the likes of which I have never seen on a two week old before. We captured baby John’s mom and dad snuggling their little boy and all of them together as a new family of three at their home. I just about melted when I walked into their kitchen and saw this amazing stone wall and a bank of windows on the other side. Soft, beautiful winter light is one of my favorite things.
The mom’s purple shirt looks amazing against the grey stone wall. The light in the room was delicious! John was awake – oh so awake – but loved snuggles so we went with it!
After a few moments with mom, it was then time for some portraits with dad. The image below became an instant favorite of mine. Sometimes during a shoot you know it’s an instant portfolio image! The baby is so intent on dad’s lips and exploring his face. What a blessing to be able to see that moment!
He slept for a moment or two, but here he is, awake again! This one is going to have lots of energy! But it’s OK because the image below captures this little man perfectly!
