Especially in the fall, I am so happy to be a Bird Park family photographer! Bird Park in Walpole, MA is a great spot in the fall, with foliage and tall grass. They have bridges, steps, and paths. They are all different and all beautiful. It’s like the park was built for photographers!
Sara and her parents came to me again this year after a great session in 2014. We schedule her portraits in the fall because it’s beautiful outside, but it is also her birthday! A great reason to get outside and record some family moments!
We started with the family walking on this path. I wanted to capture the light coming through that yellow tree, and love the perfect amount of rim light around the family.
We got warmed up then that was when Sara got a little bit silly! This mischievous smile has “I’m two!” written all over it!
This next series is my favorite. It started out as the parents trying to get little Sara to sit on my stool so we could capture some images of just her. She was kind of squirmy – as most two year olds are – and needed a little help. The end result was the sweetest snuggle between the three of them.
Little Sara was still running but we managed to capture her anyway. I LOVE when kids move around. As long as their personality shines through while we are together they can do pretty much anything! This little girl in her white shawl just glows!
After her solo portraits, Sara and her mom then shared some more tickles. As a mom I think my favorite thing is to capture images of little ones snuggling with their moms! We all want them to feel that loved forever and ever!
And of course one with dad! Little ones can only sit on shoulders for so long, so dad requested an image of her doing just that. She looks pretty happy up there!
